Who you are:  You are the parent of a child who is having challenges.

What your issues tend to be:  You are worried about your child.  You are wondering if these challenges will be a struggle for the rest of your child's life.  You are wondering where to go for help.  Your child may struggle with melt-downs or learning issues or not keeping up or following directions or difficult behavior or immaturity or self-harm or lashing out or stomach issues or allergies or asthma or feeling badly about him/herself or hyperactivity or disorganization or being touched or haircuts or being too rough physically or brushing their teeth or certain types of clothing or difficulty following directions, etc. Your child can sometimes drive you crazy. You see quirky behaviors in your child. Your child may or may not have been diagnosed and given a label.

You are concerned about your child and your family. You sometimes wake up in the middle of the night wondering what tomorrow will bring with this challenging child. You are ready to have support. You are ready to get to the bottom of this struggle. Your parenting skills may have been criticized and you feel like no one really understands what you are going through. You sometimes cry yourself to sleep because of the overwhelm and the confusion. You may have taken your child to every professional with whom you knew to make an appointment. You are grateful for the help you did receive but you know there is more to be done. Right now you just want to get to the bottom of it. You are worried for this child's future. You don't know how to navigate through your day or your child's day. You don't know if there is a way to make it better. You may not have support in what you know in your gut to be true.

What you need most right now is: Someone who understands. Someone who has raised challenging children and who wants to walk with you as you take your child to the next level.  You need someone who will educate you about optimal developmental steps, who will coach you as you get to the root cause of the struggles in your child, and who will give you "what to do about it" action steps that have worked for many families before you.  Someone who has traveled this scary and confusing and perplexing world and who has figured out some things that work.  You need to know that you are not alone.
